The Truth Teller Inc. Announces Third Annual Eastlake Male Youth Initiative Program

Atlanta, GA — Reverend Kenneth G. Torrence, Founder and CEO of The Truth Teller Inc., invites African American male youth in the metro Atlanta area to apply to the third annual Eastlake Male Youth Initiative (EMYI) program.

The Eastlake Male Youth Initiative is a 9-month leadership and mentoring program for African American males aged 10-16. “EMYI is a great way for young men to connect with leaders in the Atlanta area. I am proud to announce the continuation of the program this year,” said Torrence. “I look forward to meeting the impressive young men who will participate this school year!”

Sessions will occur one Saturday per month beginning October 2021 and continuing through June 2022. Participants will participate in interactive leadership and character development workshops; team building and fitness activities; cultural and historical field trips; community outreach; and, 1-1 mentoring opportunities.

Former participants have said:

“This program has ... opened my eyes to things I wouldn’t be exposed to ... whether ... honing my fine dine skills, meeting successful entrepreneurs, or gaining

lifelong friends ... It’s been a great experience.”

“My experience in this program has been amazing. I got to make new friends and I also learned a lot about my history — my ancestor’s history in the world; and

fundamental communications skills which helped me get into the SMASH program [at Morehouse College]. I would be glad to do this [Eastlake Male Youth Initiative] again.”

Further details on the program, including how to apply can be found on The Truth Teller’s website: www.thetruthteller.com. Applications will be accepted through the month of October. For questions, please contact info@the-truth-teller.com.
