The Eastlake Male Youth Initiative (EMYI) is a leadership and mentoring program for African American males 10 - 16 years old. EMYI is a joint partnership between The Greater Piney Grove Community Development, Inc. and The Truth Teller Inc. The mission of EMYI is to inspire, empower and challenge African American male youth. For nine (9) months, students learn about leadership and develop community and cultural awareness through workshops, team building, fitness activities, field trips of historical and cultural significance, 1-1 mentoring, and participation in community service.
